Day 1:Fes - Azrou - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga Sahara
Our 3-day tour from Fez to the Merzouga desert will start from your hotel or riad in Fez, crossing the Middle Atlas and the cedar forest. On the way we pass Ifrane, which is a famous ski resort, then Midelt, famous for its minerals and apples. We continue through the Ziz valley to reach Erfoud, famous for its fossil products, then to Rissani. Then, once we arrive in the Erg Chebbi desert where we meet our desert guide. We are getting ready for a camel ride through the sand dunes of Merzouga and we love to sleep in the Sahara desert camp where the 1st day of our 3 day desert excursion from Fez ends.
Day 2:Merzouga desert Tour: Erg Chebbi - Nomadic families - Merzouga
On the second day of the 3 days tour from Fez to Merzouga desert, it is worth getting up early in the morning to experience the beauty of a sunrise in the desert and the incredible silence of the Sahara, it is a wonderful time to experience the silence and the changing colors as the sun rises over the dunes. After returning to the camp where you will have breakfast and a hot shower to refresh you for the adventure of the day, you will then return by camel back to the starting point. We will pick you up and start your Merzouga desert tour exploring all the interesting sites around the Erg Chebbi dunes such as the seasonal lake of Merzouga named "Lake Sirji", the village of Khamlia for GNAWA music, mines for a variety of stones called "Mefes" to nomadic families ending with a visit to the RISSANI market, the largest souk in the region. Arrival in the afternoon then free time for the rest of the day before spending the night in a local hotel / Riad in the Merzouga desert.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Fez
Today, you will say goodbye to the desert and you will surely keep good memories, leaving for Fez via Erfoud, a small town known for carving marble stones and fossils, and enjoy the beautiful Ziz Valley and the palm grove landscape to Midelt, another small town. known for its apple production. You will probably take a little break here in a restaurant for lunch or in a small town nearby called Zaida. Then continue our way back to Fez in the direction of the cedar forest of Azrou.
